Optima Synchro Junior Combo Wins East Zone Gold

TONAWANDA, NY – Competing against the best teams in the eastern U.S., Optima Synchro clinched top finishes at the 2018 East Zone Jr./Sr. Championships, held March 9 to 11 in Upstate New York. The junior combo captured first place, while two duets and three solos qualified for junior and senior nationals. Adding to the team’s accomplishments, Lindi Schroeder and Emily Ma earned spots on the East Zone All-Star Team. Emily was also elected as the East Zone athlete representative.

“They did an awesome job working together as a team and wowed the crowd and judges with their performance,” said head coach Svetlana Malinovskaya. “I received lots of compliments, and people were talking about our combo performance on their way home from the meet!”
