This past weekend, we had a team BBQ – the first event to welcome the new season. It was a great time for the swimmers and families to catch up after the summer, and welcome new members to the Optima family. Heartfelt gratitude to the Diamantis for hosting an awesome event. Also a big Thank You to Walden Local Meat for sponsoring our delicious burgers which were gone in no time. Thanks for everyone who pitched in. We are looking forward to another year of swimming, competing and having fun together.
On May 11th, our youngest and newest synchronized swimmers competed at the NESSA Novice Invitational in Nashua, NH. It was the first competition for the majority of these swimmers. Team, duet, trio and all solos received Gold!! What an outstanding accomplishment for our girls! This is a testament to the high quality coaching on Optima’s team that starts at the very beginning. Individualized attention and low coach-to-swimmer ratio, allows our athletes to consistently improve at a fast rate. Want to get into the pool and try synchro or see what our team is all about?! Join us on Saturday, June 1st from 4:30-5:30pm at Haverhill High School for our next Synchro Saturdays! Register here. Continue reading “Novice Swimmers Won Gold in 2019 NESSA Novice Meet”
If you ask any synchro families what they have a lot in their house, most likely the answer is … swim suit. When the team heard the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence’s need for gently used swim suits, we jumped at the opportunity to give back to the community where the team practices. Within two weeks, the team donated 28 suits. Yesterday, our lovely team ambassadors proudly presented the donations to the club. Big thanks to all families who participated. Go Optima!
