Optima Synchro Makes Splash at US Nationals 2016

Optima Synchro, a synchronized swimming team that represents the Merrimack Valley, competed in Mesa, Arizona at the U.S. National Championships this past week. More than 350 swimmers from all over the country were vying for national titles. Optima Synchro, led by head coach Svetlana Malinovskaya, earned a total of 2 gold medals, 3 bronze medals, and 2 fourth-place finishes at this prestigious competition. The swimmers competed for titles in figures, solo, duet, team and combo.

Schroeder Named to National Team 1

Another outstanding accomplishment at the U.S. National Championships was Optima swimmer Lindi Schroeder being officially named to the U.S. 13-15 National Team 1. Being selected for Team 1 means Schroeder will be representing the United States at the Mediterranean Cup in Netaya, Israel July 21-24. Head coach Svetlana Malinovskaya was also chosen as the team consultant for 13-15 National Team 1.
